Argentina Golf & Sightseeing Itinerary
Thursday January 31, 2008 – Depart USA.
Friday February 1 - Arrive Buenos Aires. This cities cosmopolitan feel owes much to its mixed cultural origin drawing upon Spanish, Italian and many other European nationalities. In addition, excellent restaurants, unforgettable nightlife and the best golf courses of Argentina. On arrival we transfer to the 5 Star Emperador Hotel (www.hotel-emperador.com.ar) where we spend the next four nighs in Deluxe Executive rooms.
This afternoon we have a private city tour with English speaking guide and then dinner this evening in a local Argentine restaurant and enjoy Argintine cusine with fine red wines.
Saturday February 2 - Breakfast and transfer to Olivos GC. The course has currently 27 holes and it is considered one of the best in South America for its design and beauty..
After golf, return to the hotel with rest of the day at leisure. Non-Golfers enjoy sightseeing and shopping in this wonderful city.
Sunday February 3 - A trip to a typical Argentine Ranch located 1 hour from the hotel with "gauchos" & farm activities where we will be received with "empanadas", "asado" (famous argentine barbecue) and good Argentine wines. We will also enjoy folkloric songs, dances and a show of Creole skill. We return to the hotel around 4:00 PM. Balance of the day and evening on your own.
Monday February 4 - Breakfast and transfer to the Jockey Club, one of the most prestiges courses in South America. With 6635 yd. and par 72, designed by Allister Mc Kenzie and anchored by its classic old-style English clubhouse, the Jockey Club is not the only reason to visit Argentina, but it is a must-play. It has hosted many greats of the game -- Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, Gene Sarazen, Jimmy Demaret, Henry Cotton, Paul Runyan, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal, Mark O'Meara and Tom Watson have all teed it up here. This evening we enjoy a provocative Tango show with dinner and wine.
Tuesday February 5 - Breakfast and morning flight to Bariloche , located in the Patagonia Lake Zone. On arrival we transfe to the Llao Llao Golf & Spa Resort (www.llaollao.com) where we spend the next three nights in Studio Lake View rooms. While here, Non- Golfers will have the oportunity to partake in the resorts many activities, like walking excursions, horseback riding, fishing and of course the wonderful Spa. This afternoon golfers play the Llao Llao Golf Course. One of the best golf courses in this country.
Wednesday February 6 - Sightseeing today. Nahuel Huapi National Park and Bariloche. Some time on your own in Bariloche this afternoon before enjoying a.group dinner with wine this evening at a local Bariloche restuarant. Return to our hotel after dinner.
Thursday February 7 - After breakfast golfers transfer to play the challenging Arelauquen GC. A great new course that has been receiving strong reviews.. Balance of day and dinner on own to enjoy the amenities of the Llao Llao Resort and surounding area.
Friday February 8 - Breakfast at Llao Llao and departure by private deluxe coach to the north part of Patagonia. Taking the beautiful 7 lakes route, we arrive 3 hours later (crossing mountains, lakes and rivers) in San Martín de los Andes.
This village is located on the shores of Lake Lácar, the city is located in a natural basin, protecting it from the wind. Its geographical location is of singular beauty, almost hidden in a sumptuous amphitheater in the mountains that preserves the fertility of its lake and forest environment.

Saturday February 9 - Breakfast and Golf in Chapelco GC , the first Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II co - designed golf course in South America
One of the Nicklaus' design philosophies is to avoid disrupting the natural setting as much as possible. They believe it is very important to preserve the natural features of the land and not go against what Mother Nature has created, thereby letting the surroundings shape the golf holes to fit the existing terrain. The 18 - hole Chapelco course was designed to enhance the unparallel scenic beauty on which it is placed.
Afternoon at leisure to visit the many attractions in this area. This evening we enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a typical patagonian restaurant (wine included)
Sunday February 10 - Breakfast, and at noon transfer to the airport and return flight to Buenos Aires, connection to the International Airport and our return flight to USA, or you have the option to extend your trip to the beautiful Iquazu Falls - click here for itinerary. These waterfalls are of colossal wonder. They consist of 275 falls and are bigger and more beautiful than Niagara Falls and Victoria Falls in Africa.

EXTENSION TO IGUAZU FALLS

Saturday February 10th –Fly from Buenos Aries to Iguazú where we will be met and transferred to our hotel. This afternoon we have private excursion, with English speaking guide, visiting the "Waterfalls Brazilian Side". Balance of the evening on your own
Sunday February 11- Breakfast served at the hotel. Early departure on the amazing tour "Great Adventure".
- Jungle Tour - a tour of 8 km. through the jungle in an open 4 x 4 truck following the "Yacaraitá" path of Macuco port.
- Rapids - trips in the Zodiacs, navigating for 6 km. Through the lower Iguazú River, with 2 km of “soft” rapids
- Cascades - trip to the Devil´s George Canyon and to the San Martin´s Fall, with an approach to the bottom of the falls in front of the San Martin island.
This afternoon we enjoy a private tour with english speaking guide to the "Waterfalls Argentine Side".
Balance of the day and evening on your own.
Monday February 12 - Breakfast served at the hotel. Free morning for personal activities. We then transfer to Iguazú airport for our flight for Bueonis Aries and connect to our return flight to USA.
