April 12 to 19, 2009

DAY 01 ARRIVAL DELHI - SUN, APRIL 12th
Arrival in Delhi by international flight in the evening. Meet and assist at the airport. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at Intercontinental the Grand Hotel

DAY 02 DELHI – MON, MARCH 13th
O8:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
O8:30 – Departure for the Golden Greens Golf Club.
10:00 – Golf today at the Golden Greens Golf Club.
This 18 hole Links course was designed by Martin Hawtree. It has a club house with a restaurant and bar. It is located at the base of the Avaville Hills with a very scenic view. 15:00 - Back to hotel.

DAY 03 DELHI – TUE, APRIL 14th
O8:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
O8:30 – Departure for Delhi Golf Club.
09:00 – Golf this morning at the Delhi Golf Club.
This is the oldest golf club in Delhi. Established by the British in 1943. The club has 27 holes in the center of town and has restaurants, 2 Bars and practice driving range. The course was re-designed by Peter Thompson in the 1970s and today it is a championship course.

Afternoon: Half day sight seeing of New Delhi. Connaught Place
Located at the northern end of New Delhi, Connaught Place is the business and tourist centre. It’s a vast traffic circle with an architecturally uniform series of buildings around the edge-mainly devoted to shops, banks, restaurants and the like. The inner circle is now becoming hub as a main Metro Station connecting Delhi to North, Southwest and East.

India Gate
This high stone arch of triumph stands at the eastern end of the Rajpath. It bears the name of 85000 Indian Army soldiers who died in the campaigns of WW I, the NorthWest Frontier operations of the same time and the 1919 Afghan fiasco.

Secretariat Buildings
The north and south Secretariat buildings lie either side of Rajpath on Raisina Hill. These imposing buildings, topped with chhatris (small domes), now house the ministries of Finance and External Affairs respectively.

Rashtrapati Bhavan
The official residence of the President of India stands at the opposite end of the Rajpath from India Gate. Completed in 1929, the palace-like building is a blend of Mughal and Western architectural styles. To the west of the building is a Mughal garden which occupies 130 hectares, and this is open to the public in February. Prior to Independence this was the viceroy's residence. At the time of Mountbatten, India's last viceroy, the number of servants needed to maintain the 340 rooms and its extensive gardens was enormous. Overnight at Intercontinental the Grand Hotel

DAY 04 DELHI – WED, APRIL 15th
O8:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
O8:30 – Departure for the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort.
10:00 – Play today at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort.
This golf course was designed by Greg Norman and has 18 holes of the highest quality. The resort has restaurants, bar, practice range, health club, conference hall and rooms on the course.

15:00 – On the way back to hotel visit Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun's Tomb
Humayun's Tomb, the mausoleum of Mughal emperor Humayun, is situated on the Mathura Road, near it's crossing with Lodi Road. The first significant model of
Mughal architecture in India, the tomb was built by Humayun's wife Haji Begum in the year 1565.

DAY 05 DELHI – AGRA - DELHI (230 KM – 4 1/2 H) – THURS, APRIL 16th
O7:00 – Breakfast at the Hotel.
O7:30 – Departure for Agra.
12:00 – Visit of Taj Mahal
14:00 – Visit of Taj Mahal
15:00 – Local shopping in the Market.
16:00 – Departure for Delhi.
The Taj Mahal - Built by Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his favourite Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, is a monument to love Agra Fort - build over the Mughal period (each emperor adding to it), seevarious palaces and the Halls of Public and Private Audience.

Day 06 DELHI – FRI, APRIL 17th
O8:30 – Breakfast at the hotel.
O9:00 – Departure for the DLF Golf Resort.
10:00 – Optional golf at the DLF Golf Resort, or we can arrange a full day of sightseeing, shopping, a visit to a spa and more.
This course has been designed by Arnold Palmer and is located in Gurgeon. The course has a teaching academy with 18 holes with night golf facilities from March to Nov. The resort has a restaurant, bar and health. It also has a great proshop.

Day 07 DELHI – SAT, APRIL 18th
08:30– Break-fast at the hotel.
09:00– Departure for Classic Golf Club.
10:00 – TEE-OFF at the Classic Golf Resort.
This is a golf facility designed by Jack Nicklaus and it has a fully equipped golf academy. The resort has a restaurant, bar health club, swimming pool, squash courts and a pro shop.
15:00 – On the way back to hotel visit Qutab Minar.

Qutab Minar
The famous Qutab Minar of Delhi is a tower that claims the distinction of being the highest stone tower in the country. Said to be a tower of victory, it soars to a height of 73 m. Qutab-ud-din Aibak, after defeating Delhi's last Hindu kingdom, started the construction of this tower in the year 1193. Although Qutab-ud-din Aibak started the construction of the tower, he could not complete the monument during his lifetime.

Day 08 DELHI – SUN, APRIL 19th
08:30– Break-fast at the hotel.
Morning: Leisure
12:00– Check out from the hotel. Half day sight seeing of Old Delhi.

Old Delhi - It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan on the banks of river Yamuna in the early 17th century and was the capital of the Mughal kingdom, Red Fort being the main focus. The sightseeing tour includes visit to the Hall of Public and Private audiences and various palace within the Fort. Continue to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and the last great architectural work of the great Mughal builder. Walk through the dense network of narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk –the shopping centre of Old Delhi.
21:00 – Transfer to the airport to board international flight.

The above costs include:
1. 7 night’s hotel accommodation on deluxe room (twin sharing + breakfast basis) at
Intercontinental The Grand Hotel in Delhi.
2. 4 rounds of Golf Games (green + caddie fees) as per the itinerary.
3. All arrival / departure transfers including inter city transfers, sightseeing to Agra by an exclusive driven air conditioned Toyota Inova.
4. Service of a language speaking guide for sight seeing in Agra.
5. All applicable Taxes, including service tax of 4.95%
